Alex Henderson (Scottish footballer)

Alex Henderson (born 19 July 1944) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Henderson began his career with Hamilton Academical in 1963, where he established himself as a reliable and consistent performer. He played for Hamilton Academical for several years, making over 100 appearances for the club.

In 1969, Henderson moved to Falkirk, where he continued his playing career. He spent a further three seasons at Falkirk making over 70 appearances for the Bairns.

After Falkirk, Henderson played for East Stirlingshire before concluding his senior footballing career.

Henderson's career was characterized by his defensive solidity and commitment to his teams.
