Aleksandr Ivanov (weightlifter)
Aleksandr Ivanov (born August 22, 1989) is a Russian weightlifter who competes in the men's 94 kg division. He is best known for winning a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Ivanov initially won the gold medal, but was later disqualified after re-analysis of his sample tested positive for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (turinabol). He also won a gold medal at the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships and a silver medal at the 2011 World Weightlifting Championships. His career has been marked by periods of success intermixed with doping suspensions.
