Air (singer)

Air, often stylized as AIR, is the stage name of Ariane Moffatt, a Canadian singer-songwriter from Quebec. Known for her distinctive soprano voice, sophisticated pop arrangements, and introspective lyrics, Air has achieved critical acclaim and commercial success in French-speaking Canada and beyond.

Moffatt began her career as a classical pianist before transitioning to pop music. Her musical style blends elements of pop, electronica, jazz, and chanson. She is often praised for her songwriting, which explores themes of love, loss, identity, and social issues.

Air released her debut album, Aquanaute, in 2002. Subsequent albums include Le soleil est sorti (2005), Tous les sens (2008), MA (2012), 22h22 (2015), and Petites mains précieuses (2018).
