Aaron Black (footballer, born 1990)
Aaron Black (born 1990) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Black was drafted by North Melbourne with pick 25 in the 2009 AFL Draft from the Peel Thunder Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He is the son of former Fremantle and St Kilda player, Alan Black.
Black made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2011 against West Coast. Primarily a key forward, Black showed promise early in his career, leading North Melbourne's goalkicking in 2012 with 34 goals. He played consistently in the North Melbourne forward line for several seasons.
Throughout his career, Black faced challenges with form and consistency, which saw him move in and out of the senior side. He struggled to replicate his 2012 form and was delisted by North Melbourne at the end of the 2016 season.
Following his delisting, Black returned to Western Australia and resumed playing for Peel Thunder in the WAFL. He has continued his football career at the state league level.
