Tsiombe
Tsiombe is a town and commune located in the Androy Region of southern Madagascar. It is situated near the coast, southwest of Betroka and north of Ambovombe.
The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, including the cultivation of crops such as maize, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Livestock farming is also important. Fishing is a significant activity for communities residing near the coast.
Tsiombe is considered a relatively remote area, with limited infrastructure. Access to healthcare and education can be challenging for the local population. The region is also susceptible to drought and other environmental challenges, impacting agricultural productivity and livelihoods.
