ARA Almirante Brown (C-1)

The ARA Almirante Brown (C-1) was the lead ship of the Almirante Brown-class destroyers (also designated as cruisers by some sources) of the Argentine Navy (Armada de la República Argentina). Named after Admiral William Brown, the founder of the Argentine Navy, she was built by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg, West Germany. The ship was commissioned into the Argentine Navy in 1983 and remained in service as of 2023.

The Almirante Brown-class was designed to provide the Argentine Navy with modern, multi-role surface combatants. Almirante Brown (C-1) participated in numerous naval exercises and patrols, contributing to Argentina's maritime defense capabilities.
