45 RPM (album)

45 RPM is the debut studio album by the American rock band School of Fish, released in 1991. The album is best known for its hit single "3 Strange Days," which reached number one on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and crossed over to mainstream radio.

The album's sound is generally characterized as alternative rock with elements of jangle-pop and power pop. It features melodic songwriting, catchy hooks, and the distinctive dual vocals of Josh Clayton-Felt and Michael Ward.

While "3 Strange Days" brought the band significant attention, 45 RPM also included other notable tracks such as "Good Times," "Talking to a Girl," and "King of the Lies." The album received generally positive reviews upon release, praising the band's songwriting and musicianship.

Despite the success of its lead single, School of Fish was unable to maintain its momentum, and 45 RPM remains their most commercially successful and widely recognized work. The album is considered a staple of early 1990s alternative rock.

Following 45 RPM, School of Fish released one more album, Human Cannonball, in 1993 before disbanding.
