2022 Liga 1 (Peru)

The 2022 Liga 1 was the top-flight professional football league in Peru for the year 2022. It was officially known as the Liga 1 Betsson for sponsorship reasons. The season involved a two-stage format, Apertura and Clausura, with the winners of each stage playing a final for the national championship, if they were different teams. If the same team won both stages, they were automatically crowned champions. Teams also competed in a cumulative table throughout the season, which determined qualification for international competitions like the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, as well as relegation to Liga 2. Sporting Cristal won the Apertura tournament, and Alianza Lima won the Clausura tournament. Alianza Lima defeated Melgar in the final to win the national championship.
