101st Division (1st Formation) (People's Republic of China)

The 101st Division (1st Formation) was a military formation of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of the People's Republic of China. Formed in February 1949, it was part of the 34th Corps. The division was created from elements of the 3rd Independent Brigade of the Hebei-Rehe-Chahar Military Region. It was composed of the 301st, 302nd, and 303rd Regiments. Following its formation, the division participated in campaigns during the Chinese Civil War. In November 1950, the 34th Corps, including the 101st Division, was disbanded.
