Štirovica
Štirovica is a valley and location on the northern slopes of Velebit mountain in Croatia. It is known for its dense forests, meadows, and abundant water sources. Administratively, it falls under the municipality of Karlobag. Štirovica is largely uninhabited, serving primarily as a grazing area for livestock during the summer months. Access to Štirovica is generally limited to hiking trails and unpaved roads, making it a relatively secluded and pristine area. The area is part of the Velebit Nature Park and is characterized by its diverse flora and fauna. Due to its remote location and natural beauty, Štirovica attracts hikers and nature enthusiasts. Historical remnants of shepherd settlements can also be found in the valley.
