Zhai Zhao

Zhai Zhao (翟釗) was a general and official who lived during the Sixteen Kingdoms period in Chinese history. He primarily served under the Later Zhao dynasty. His ancestral home was Dongyan (東燕, roughly modern Puyang, Henan). He is best known for his military prowess and contributions to the Later Zhao's campaigns, particularly against the Jin dynasty.

Zhai Zhao distinguished himself in numerous battles, earning a reputation for bravery and strategic thinking. Historical records portray him as a capable commander who played a significant role in the expansion and consolidation of Later Zhao's territory. While details of his specific military tactics are often sparse, his overall effectiveness is consistently highlighted.
