Yaremche

Yaremche (Ukrainian: Яремче, Polish: Jaremcze, Yiddish: יאַרעמטשע) is a city located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in western Ukraine. It is situated in the Carpathian Mountains and is a popular tourist destination. Yaremche is located on the Prut River and within the limits of the Carpathian National Nature Park.

History:

The town's history is relatively recent, beginning in the late 18th century. It developed primarily as a logging and rafting settlement.
