Willie Murray (footballer, born 1954)

Willie Murray (born 26 January 1954) is a Scottish former professional footballer.

Murray played as a left-back. His career began at Celtic, where he made his debut in 1974. He was part of the Celtic squad that won the Scottish Premier Division title in the 1976–77 season and the Scottish Cup in 1975 and 1977.

In 1979, Murray moved to Middlesbrough, where he spent several seasons. He later played for Raith Rovers before retiring from professional football.

After retiring, Murray remained involved in football, coaching at youth level.
