William Batchelor (cricketer)
William Batchelor was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and Hampshire. He was born on 22 December 1874 and died on 28 December 1960. Batchelor was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He appeared in 28 first-class matches between 1897 and 1904, scoring 746 runs with a highest score of 110 and taking 33 wickets with a best of 5 for 62. He played for Cambridge University from 1897 to 1900, earning his Blue, and then played a few matches for Hampshire. His century came against Leicestershire in 1900. His bowling was more successful for Hampshire than for Cambridge.
