Washington Historic District (Washington, Kentucky)
The Washington Historic District encompasses the majority of the town of Washington, Kentucky, a significant example of a late 18th and early 19th-century settlement in the Bluegrass region. Located in Mason County, Washington served as an important crossroads and commercial center in its early years, predating and initially rivaling the nearby city of Maysville.
