Wade Miller (Canadian football)
Wade Miller (born July 12, 1976) is a Canadian former professional football player who was a linebacker in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Miller played junior football with the Winnipeg Rifles before joining the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. He was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 1998 CFL Draft but ultimately signed with his hometown Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he played his entire CFL career from 1998 to 2006.
Known for his hard-hitting style and leadership qualities, Miller quickly became a key player for the Blue Bombers. He was named a CFL All-Star three times (2000, 2001, 2003) and won the Dr. Beattie Martin Trophy as the West Division's top Canadian player in 2000.
Miller's career was unfortunately cut short due to a series of knee injuries. He retired from professional football in 2006.
Following his playing career, Miller remained active in the Winnipeg community. He served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 2013 until 2022.
