Volvo V60

The Volvo V60 is a five-door, five-passenger compact executive wagon manufactured and marketed by Volvo Cars since 2010. It is based on Volvo's P3 platform, and later, the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA).

First Generation (2010-2018)

The first generation V60 (2010-2018) was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2010 and went on sale in early 2011. It shared its underpinnings and many features with the Volvo S60 sedan. Engine options included a range of petrol and diesel engines, often featuring Volvo's Drive-E technology for improved fuel efficiency. Trim levels varied by market, typically including versions like Momentum, Summum, and R-Design. Safety features were a key focus, as with all Volvo models, and included City Safety, a low-speed collision avoidance system.

Second Generation (2018-Present)

The second generation V60 was unveiled in February 2018. It is based on Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), which it shares with the Volvo S60, V90, and XC60 models. This generation is larger and features a more modern design language, aligning with the rest of Volvo's contemporary lineup. Engine options include petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid variants (Recharge). Trim levels generally consist of Momentum, Inscription, R-Design, and Polestar Engineered (depending on the model year and market). Advanced driver-assistance systems are prevalent, including Pilot Assist, Volvo's semi-autonomous driving system. The V60 Cross Country, a raised and ruggedized version of the V60 with all-wheel drive, is also available.
