Vishnugupta (Gupta Empire)

Vishnugupta was a ruler of the Gupta dynasty of ancient India. He is generally considered the last recognized emperor of the Gupta Empire.

Very little is definitively known about Vishnugupta's reign. Historical sources are scarce and fragmentary, leading to varying interpretations and scholarly debates regarding the precise timeline and extent of his rule.

Based on available evidence, including numismatic findings (coins) and inscriptions, Vishnugupta is believed to have ruled sometime in the late 5th or early 6th century CE.
