Vega 4 (TV series)
Vega 4 was a 1968 science fiction television series produced by the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC). Little is known about the series, as only limited archival material survives. It was a children's program, and is often described as a low-budget production, even by the standards of Australian television at the time.
Reportedly, the plot centered on a space station called Vega 4 and the adventures of its crew. Due to the limited number of episodes believed to have been produced and the scarcity of surviving information, comprehensive details about the characters, storylines, and overall themes are largely unknown.
The series is notable primarily for its obscurity and the challenges in reconstructing its history. It serves as an example of the ephemeral nature of early television programming, particularly in smaller broadcasting markets with limited resources for preservation. Its current status is considered lost media.
