Twan Huys
Twan Huys (born March 24, 1964, in Eindhoven) is a Dutch journalist, television presenter, and writer. He is best known for his work on Dutch television, particularly news and current affairs programs.
Huys began his career in journalism at the Brabants Dagblad newspaper. He later transitioned to television, working for NOS Journaal, the main news program of the Dutch public broadcaster NOS. He gained prominence as a foreign correspondent in Washington D.C. from 1995 to 1999, reporting on American politics and culture.
Upon his return to the Netherlands, Huys became a presenter for the talk show NOVA, later renamed Nieuwsuur. He was known for his in-depth interviews with prominent figures, both domestically and internationally.
In 2018, he moved to RTL Nederland to host a new talk show, RTL Late Night met Twan Huys. The show was cancelled in 2019 due to low ratings.
Besides his television work, Huys has also written several books, including a biography of Barack Obama. He is considered a respected figure in Dutch journalism.
