Tropical Storm Linfa (2015)

Tropical Storm Linfa (2015) was a weak but erratic tropical cyclone that affected the Philippines, Taiwan, and mainland China in July 2015. Linfa developed as a tropical depression east of the Philippines on July 1, 2015, and was upgraded to a tropical storm the next day, receiving the name Linfa.

The storm initially moved northwestward towards the Philippines, bringing heavy rainfall and flooding to some areas. It then took a more erratic path, looping and wobbling before eventually moving towards Taiwan.

Linfa brushed the southern tip of Taiwan on July 9, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the island. Although its center remained just offshore, the storm still caused disruptions to transportation and some structural damage.

After passing Taiwan, Linfa made landfall in Fujian province in mainland China on July 9. It weakened rapidly after landfall and dissipated over land on July 10. While a relatively weak storm, Linfa's slow movement and heavy rainfall resulted in localized flooding and landslides in affected areas. Agricultural damage was also reported.
