Erik Larsen (rower)
Erik Larsen (born February 20, 1928, in Copenhagen, died April 10, 1952) was a Danish rower who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics.
Larsen was a member of the Danish boat that won the bronze medal in the coxed fours event. The team consisted of Erik Larsen, Henry Larsen, Børge Raahauge Nielsen, Harry Knudsen, and coxswain Ib Olsen. They finished behind the United States and Switzerland. He was known for his powerful stroke and dedication to training. Tragically, Larsen died at a young age just four years after his Olympic success.
