Tetridia
Tetridia is a genus of extinct tetrapods belonging to the family Dissorophidae, which existed during the Early Permian period. Fossils of Tetridia have been found in North America, specifically in Texas. These amphibians were relatively small, measuring less than a meter in length, and possessed features characteristic of dissorophids, including a heavily armored body. They are considered part of the broader Temnospondyli clade, which encompasses a diverse range of extinct amphibians. Further research is ongoing to understand their precise phylogenetic relationships within Dissorophidae and Temnospondyli.
