Ted Roof

Ted Roof (born April 17, 1963) is an American football coach. He has held various defensive coordinator positions at both the collegiate and professional levels. Roof's career includes stints at universities such as Auburn, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Miami (FL), and Oklahoma, as well as a brief period with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. He is known for his experience and leadership in developing defensive strategies and mentoring players. His coaching stops are frequently marked by an initial improvement in defensive performance followed by variability in later seasons. Roof also briefly served as the interim head coach at Duke University.
