Synchronic (film)

Synchronic is a 2019 American science fiction horror film directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, and written by Benson. It stars Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan as two New Orleans paramedics whose lives are upended by a series of bizarre deaths linked to a mysterious new designer drug called Synchronic.

The film explores themes of mortality, friendship, and the limitations of perception. As the paramedics investigate the drug and its effects, they uncover a dangerous secret about its ability to transport users through time. This discovery forces them to confront not only the immediate dangers posed by the drug but also their own personal regrets and fears.

Synchronic premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2019 and was released in the United States in January 2021.
