Stewart Williamson (Scottish footballer)
Stewart Williamson (born 19 April 1955) is a former Scottish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
Williamson began his career with Dundee, making his debut in 1973. He spent a decade at Dens Park, becoming a regular in the first team and earning a reputation as a reliable shot-stopper. During his time with Dundee, the club experienced periods of success and relegation, with Williamson remaining a consistent presence between the posts.
In 1983, Williamson moved to Hibernian, where he continued to play regularly. He contributed to the Hibs team during a period of relative stability for the club.
He subsequently joined Forfar Athletic in 1985, spending one season there before moving into Junior football.
Following his time in the senior game, Williamson continued to play at the Junior level, extending his career for several more years. His career spanned across various levels of Scottish football, demonstrating his dedication to the sport. After retirement, he remained involved in football in a coaching capacity.
