Steven McDonnell (Gaelic footballer)

Steven McDonnell (born 11 September 1979) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Armagh county team from 1998 to 2013. He is widely regarded as one of Armagh's greatest ever players and a key member of their All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning team in 2002.

McDonnell primarily played as a forward, known for his accurate free-taking, scoring prowess, and leadership qualities. He earned numerous individual accolades throughout his career, including All-Star awards. He also played club football for Killeavy St. Moninna's.

Following his retirement from inter-county football, McDonnell has worked as a Gaelic football pundit and commentator, appearing on television and radio broadcasts. He has also been involved in coaching at club and academy levels.
