St. Monica Church (Manhattan)
St. Monica Church is a Roman Catholic parish church located on East 79th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It is part of the Archdiocese of New York.
The parish was established in 1856 to serve the growing Irish immigrant population in the area. The current church building, designed in the Gothic Revival style by the architectural firm Renwick & Sands, was dedicated in 1895. James Renwick Jr. is best known for designing St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.
