Salentse
Salentse is a constructed language (conlang) created by Mark Rosenfelder, the linguist and author of "The Language Construction Kit." Salentse is designed to be a relatively simple language, intended as a teaching tool for introductory linguistics concepts. It aims for typological neutrality, avoiding strong biases towards particular natural language families. Features of Salentse include a regular, agglutinative morphology and a consistent phonology. Grammatically, it uses subject-object-verb (SOV) word order and postpositions. The vocabulary is primarily based on roots that are easily pronounceable and memorable. The language is intended for use in constructing simple sentences and demonstrating basic linguistic principles.
