SPRY4-IT1

SPRY4-IT1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 5q31.1 in humans. It is an intronic transcript derived from within the SPRY4 gene, which encodes a Sprouty homolog protein involved in receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling.

The function of SPRY4-IT1 is not fully elucidated, but it has been implicated in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. Some studies suggest it plays a role in cancer development and progression, potentially by influencing the expression or activity of its host gene, SPRY4, or other genes involved in related signaling pathways.
