Ron Estes

Ron Estes (born July 19, 1956) is an American politician representing Kansas's 4th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he won a special election in April 2017 to fill the seat vacated by Mike Pompeo, who became Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and later Secretary of State under President Donald Trump.

Prior to his election to Congress, Estes served as the Kansas State Treasurer from 2011 to 2017. Before becoming Treasurer, he held positions in the private sector, including roles in the aerospace and engineering industries. His educational background includes degrees in civil engineering and business administration.

Estes's congressional voting record generally aligns with conservative principles. He has focused on issues such as fiscal responsibility, tax reform, and national security. He sits on several House committees, including those related to transportation and infrastructure, as well as science, space, and technology. He is married and has children.
