Ricardo Sánchez (baseball)
Ricardo Sánchez (born August 17, 1977) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Sánchez was signed by the Detroit Tigers as an international free agent in 1995. He made his MLB debut with the Tigers on June 4, 2002. He was primarily a relief pitcher throughout his career.
In 2006, Sánchez was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. He pitched for the Cardinals in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, he signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played his last MLB game on September 28, 2009, for the Pirates.
Following his MLB career, Sánchez continued to play professionally in various minor leagues and independent leagues.
