Qiu Jun (Go player)
Qiu Jun (邱峻, born 1982 in Shanghai, China) is a professional Go player. He is known for his aggressive fighting style and has achieved significant success in both domestic and international Go tournaments.
Qiu Jun achieved professional status in China in 1994 and reached 9-dan (the highest rank) in 2006. He has been a member of the Chinese national Go team.
Notable achievements in his career include:
- Winning the 13th NEC Cup in 2006.
- Reaching the final of the 17th Asian TV Cup in 2005.
- Participating in numerous other high-level tournaments, consistently placing among the top players.
Qiu Jun is considered one of the strong Chinese players of his generation, known for his sharp tactical skills and contribution to modern Go theory. He continues to be active in professional Go.
