Prim (Neckar)

Prim is a small river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a right tributary of the Neckar. It flows generally northwards and is approximately 21 kilometers (13 miles) long.

The Prim rises near Delkhofen, a district of Spaichingen, on the eastern edge of the Swabian Jura. It flows through a rural landscape characterized by agriculture and small settlements. The river passes through or near the towns and villages of Balgheim, Dürbheim, and Gunningen.

The Prim's water quality is generally considered good, although it is influenced by agricultural runoff. It provides habitat for various species of fish and aquatic insects.

The confluence of the Prim and the Neckar is located in Rottweil, the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg, a historic Roman settlement. The Neckar itself eventually flows into the Rhine River.
