Peter Buchanan (footballer, born 1938)

Peter Buchanan (born 1938) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a left back.

Buchanan began his career with Dumbarton in the Scottish Second Division. His performances there earned him a transfer to English side Oldham Athletic in 1960. He spent several seasons with Oldham in the Football League, becoming a consistent performer in their defensive line. After leaving Oldham, Buchanan returned to Scotland and played for a time with Albion Rovers. His professional career ended in the late 1960s.
