Peel P50

The Peel P50 is a microcar manufactured from 1962 to 1965 by the Peel Engineering Company on the Isle of Man. It holds the record as the smallest production car ever made. Designed as a city car, it was advertised as capable of seating one adult and a shopping bag.

The P50 is a three-wheeled vehicle, with a single wheel at the rear. It originally had no reverse gear; instead, a handle at the rear allowed it to be physically pulled backwards or maneuvered. It features a single door on the left side and a single headlight.

Production was revived in 2010, with both petrol and electric versions being offered by Peel Engineering Ltd., initially based in the UK and later relocating production back to the Isle of Man. These updated models retained the original's diminutive size and styling, while incorporating modern components and addressing some of the limitations of the original. The newer versions are built to order.
