Paul Brown (Georgia politician)

Paul Brown (born August 11, 1926, died October 20, 2000) was an American politician from the state of Georgia. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975 under Governor Jimmy Carter.

Brown was a member of the Democratic party. Before serving as Lieutenant Governor, he was a state senator representing the 50th district. He also served as chairman of the Georgia Democratic Party.

Following his term as Lieutenant Governor, Brown ran unsuccessfully for Governor of Georgia in 1974. After leaving public office, he remained active in business and community affairs. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia.
