Oltedal

Oltedal is a village in Gjesdal municipality, Rogaland county, Norway. It is located along the Oltedalsvatnet lake, approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) northeast of the municipal center of Ålgård.

Historically, Oltedal was a separate municipality from 1899 until 1965. It was created by splitting from the larger municipality of Bjerkreim. In 1965, Oltedal was merged with Gjesdal.

The local economy in Oltedal has traditionally been based on agriculture and industry. Several small businesses and farms are located in the area. The village also benefits from tourism due to its scenic location and proximity to hiking trails and outdoor activities.
