Ojstrica

Ojstrica is a prominent and relatively isolated peak located in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps of Slovenia. It is renowned for its distinctive and photogenic conical shape, making it a popular subject for photographers and a recognized landmark of the region.

Ojstrica rises to a height of approximately 2,350 meters (7,710 feet) above sea level. Its ascent involves a challenging and exposed route, generally requiring mountaineering experience and appropriate equipment. The climb is not considered a hiking trail, but rather a demanding scramble involving exposed rocky sections.

The peak provides panoramic views of the surrounding Kamnik-Savinja Alps, including views of Planjava, Grintovec, and other notable peaks. It is typically accessed from the Robanov kot valley.

Due to its steep slopes and challenging access, Ojstrica is primarily visited by experienced hikers and climbers seeking a demanding alpine experience. The mountain is often described as representing a classical, almost archetypal mountain shape.
