Ministry of External Relations (Angola)

The Ministry of External Relations (Angola) (Portuguese: Ministério das Relações Exteriores, MIREX) is the governmental body of Angola responsible for the country's foreign policy and international relations. It is tasked with representing Angola on the international stage, fostering diplomatic relations with other nations and international organizations, and promoting Angola's interests abroad. The Ministry formulates and implements foreign policy directives, negotiates treaties and agreements, and manages Angola's diplomatic missions and consular affairs around the world. The Ministry is headed by the Minister of External Relations, who is appointed by the President of Angola. Its functions include managing bilateral and multilateral relations, promoting economic and cultural cooperation, providing consular services to Angolan citizens abroad, and protecting the interests of Angola and its citizens in the international community.
