Milivoje is a masculine given name of Slavic origin, common in Serbia, Montenegro, and other parts of the former Yugoslavia. It is derived from the Slavic elements mil meaning "gracious," "dear," or "pleasant," and voje from vojnik, meaning "soldier" or "warrior." Thus, the name can be interpreted as "gracious warrior" or "dear soldier." It is sometimes shortened to Mijo, Mile, or Voja.
