Mike White (quarterback)

Mike White (born March 25, 1995) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at South Florida and Western Kentucky.

White began his college career at South Florida in 2013. After redshirting his freshman year, he played sparingly for the Bulls in 2014 and 2015. He then transferred to Western Kentucky University, where he became the starting quarterback for the Hilltoppers.

During his two seasons at Western Kentucky (2016 and 2017), White had a successful career, leading the team to a Conference USA championship in 2016. He set several school records, including passing yards and touchdowns in a single season.

White was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent the 2018 season on the Cowboys' practice squad. In 2019, he was waived by the Cowboys and subsequently signed by the New York Jets.

White spent several seasons with the Jets, mostly as a backup. He gained significant attention in 2021 after making his first NFL start due to injuries to other quarterbacks. In that game, he threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns, earning him AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. He remained with the Jets through the 2022 season.

Following the 2022 season, White signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2023. He served as a backup quarterback for the Dolphins, appearing in a limited number of games. He was released by the Dolphins after the 2023 season and is currently a free agent.
