Michael Donnellan (footballer)

Michael Donnellan is a retired Gaelic footballer who played for the Galway county team. He primarily played as a defender, often in the full-back line.

Donnellan was a key member of the Galway team that won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 1998 and 2001. He also won several Connacht Senior Football Championships and National Football League titles with Galway. He was known for his tough tackling, strong marking, and ability to read the game. He earned All-Star awards for his performances, recognizing him as one of the best players in his position in the country. After a distinguished career, Donnellan retired from inter-county football.
