MICEX 10
The MICEX 10 was a stock market index calculated on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX, now part of the Moscow Exchange or MOEX). It tracked the prices of the ten most liquid and largest Russian companies traded on the exchange. The index served as a benchmark for the overall performance of the Russian stock market, specifically focusing on its most prominent players. It was a narrower, more concentrated index than the broader MICEX Index (now MOEX Russia Index). The MICEX 10 was commonly used by investors and analysts to gauge the health and direction of the leading Russian companies and the market sentiment surrounding them. However, it has been discontinued and replaced by other indices with broader coverage. Its historical data remains available for analysis of past market trends.
