Laurencin (author)
Marie Laurencin (1883-1956) was a French painter and printmaker. She is often associated with the École de Paris and known for her distinctive style characterized by pastel colors, graceful female figures, and an overall air of dreamy elegance.
Laurencin's artistic career flourished during the early 20th century. She was briefly involved with Cubism through her association with the Bateau-Lavoir group, but she quickly developed her own unique aesthetic.
