Laura (band)
Laura was a Belgian post-rock band formed in 2004 in Ghent. The band was known for its atmospheric and instrumental compositions, often incorporating elements of electronica and shoegaze into their sound.
Their music frequently featured dynamic shifts, building from quiet, melodic passages to louder, more intense crescendos. This dynamic range, coupled with their textural approach to sound, contributed to a cinematic quality in their recordings.
Laura released several albums and EPs throughout their career, including notable works such as Musique Directe (2007) and The Difference You Make (2009). They toured extensively throughout Europe, gaining a dedicated following within the post-rock scene. The band officially disbanded in 2011.
