Lambton East (federal electoral district)

Lambton East was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that existed from 1867 to 1904, and again from 1925 to 2004.

History:

The riding was created with the passage of the British North America Act in 1867. It was one of the original electoral districts. In 1903, it was merged into Lambton East and Kent West ridings.

The riding was re-created in 1924 from parts of Lambton West and Lambton East ridings. It was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into Lambton—Kent—Middlesex ridings.

Geography:

The electoral district was generally located in the eastern portion of Lambton County in southwestern Ontario. Its boundaries evolved over time to reflect population shifts.
