Kim Moody
Kim Moody (born October 27, 1946) is an American labor journalist, author, and activist. He is known for his extensive writing and analysis on the American labor movement, globalization, and social movements.
Moody's work often focuses on the challenges facing unions and the working class in the context of neoliberalism and global capitalism. He has written extensively on the decline of union density in the United States and strategies for revitalizing labor organizing. He is a proponent of rank-and-file activism and democratic unionism.
Moody has authored and co-authored several books, including Workers in a Lean World, An Injury to All: The Decline of American Unionism, U.S. Labor in Trouble and Transition, From Mutual Aid to the Welfare State: Fraternal Societies and Social Services, 1890-1967, and On New Terrain: How Capital is Reshaping the Battleground of Class War. He has also contributed to various journals and publications.
