José Ferrer (guitarist)
José Ferrer (born José Salvador Ferrer Santana, August 7, 1956, Santurce, Puerto Rico) is a classical guitarist known for his interpretations of Spanish and Latin American guitar music. He is also a composer and arranger, particularly noted for his transcriptions of works originally written for other instruments.
Ferrer began studying guitar at a young age and later pursued formal musical training. He has performed extensively as a soloist and with orchestras throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America. He has released several recordings, which have been praised for their technical precision and musicality.
Ferrer is also active as a teacher, conducting masterclasses and workshops. He is dedicated to promoting classical guitar music and has collaborated with other musicians and artists to create innovative and engaging performances. He currently resides in Puerto Rico.
