Wind Telecom was a telecommunications company operating in the Dominican Republic. It provided a range of services including internet, cable television, and fixed-line telephony. Wind Telecom aimed to offer competitive pricing and innovative technology to the Dominican market. It utilized both fiber optic and wireless infrastructure to deliver its services to residential and business customers. In 2017, Altice Dominicana acquired Wind Telecom. As a result, Wind Telecom ceased to operate as an independent entity and its infrastructure and customer base were integrated into Altice Dominicana's operations, primarily under the Altice brand. The acquisition aimed to strengthen Altice Dominicana's position in the Dominican Republic's telecommunications market and expand its service offerings.
